Welcome to Rotexo's Cosilab website presenting the Combustion Simulation Laboratory for the numerical simulation of a variety of tasks in the areas of combustion and reactive flows.

Enjoy exploring the website and learning how Cosilab can be useful for you! Scroll down to glance at a few selected features, or obtain detailed information from the menu.

SENSITIVITY ANALYSIS

Sensitivity analysis reveals how strongly, or weakly, a numerical solution depends on the values of certain parameters. Cosilab includes powerful graphical tools that display, for instance, the sensitivity of flamespeed or other combustion related quantities on important parameters such as the reaction-rate constants.

REACTION-PATHWAY ANALYSIS

Reaction-pathway analysis is useful to detect which are the important chemical reactions in a combustion process, and in which sequential or parallel arrangement these reactions take place to create or destruct certain chemical species. Cosilab has built-in effective and versatile graphical tools for reaction-pathway analysis according to a variety of criteria.

PARAMETER VARIATION

Cosilab has built-in tools that allow automated and hence effective variation of a variety of physical parameters such as equivalence ratio, pressure, temperature, strainrate, and many more. Parametric studies are greatly facilitated by these automated procedures.

FUEL EDITOR

The so-called "Fuel Editor" is a handy graphical tool built into Cosilab that allows fast and versatile, qualitative and quantitative specification of multi-component fuels and oxidizers, and of mixtures thereof.
